Berntsen Break-Off Pipe Monuments - location is preserved even if survey monument is disturbed

Berntsen offers three models of break-off pipe monuments. All are designed to break at a predetermined point in case of disturbance or vandalism, even if the entire pipe and survey cap are removed. They all feature a high-strength permanent ceramic magnet in the break off base for easy re-location.

· A1BR consists of a 3-1/4" (83mm) diameter 6000 series orbital formed aluminum survey cap with a permanent ceramic magnet, 2" (50mm) diameter inside diameter aluminum pipe, aluminum cast base with a high-strength permanent ceramic magnet. Aluminum rivets hold the survey cap and base to the pipe.
· A2BR consists of a 3-1/4" (83mm) diameter 6000 series orbital formed aluminum survey cap with a permanent ceramic magnet, 2" (50mm) diameter inside diameter aluminum pipe, a bright pink high impact polystyrene base with a high-strength permanent ceramic magnet. Aluminum rivets hold the survey cap and base to the pipe.
· A3BR consists of a 3-1/4" (83mm) diameter 6000 series orbital formed aluminum survey cap with a permanent ceramic magnet, 2" (50mm) diameter inside diameter schedule 80 PVC pipe, a bright pink high impact polystyrene base with a high-strength permanent ceramic magnet. Aluminum rivets hold the survey cap and base to the pipe. A bronze survey cap can be substituted for the aluminum cap at additional cost.
